Institutions of higher education continue to experience serious problems with respect to student alcohol abuse. For campus administrators, deciding how to respond effectively means understanding the complexity of these problems, the individuality of their campus community, and the science-based strategies available. These complicated problems require a comprehensive and integrated response, and developing a prevention program requires a systematic planning and evaluation process.

This hands-on Webinar will allow participants to apply the strategic planning process to their campus; develop skills to address alcohol-related problems in their campus communities; and use a strategic planning work sheet to identify problems, goals, resources, partners, and effective strategies to bring about long-lasting change.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this 90-minute Webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss and implement the key steps in the strategic planning process
  • Identify and prioritize alcohol-related problems on their campus
  • Select science-based alcohol abuse prevention strategies
  • Create a strategic plan for their campus alcohol prevention efforts
  • Access Higher Education Center products and services
